No one has been on the receiving end of as much Super PAC filth as Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown. Six weeks ago he had faced $5.1 million in such attacks, and they haven't let up since.
In February, Marist polled the race for NBC and found Brown leading 47-37. Last week, they re-polled the race (PDF), and now find Brown leading 51-37. In other words, despite the avalanche of negative attacks against a freshman relatively unknown liberal Democrat in a battleground and closely divided state, Brown has increased his lead.
The trendline in that chart above sure is pretty, isn't it?
Not only does that bode well for Brown, but also for other Senate Democrats and the president, who will face their own barrage of Koch/Ricketts/Adelson/Hamm/Friess-funded attack ads.
