New Mitt Romney spokesman very sorry for speaking his mind, promises to delete his old tweets

Mitt Romney hits the delete button So it turns out Richard Grenell, Mitt Romney's new foreign policy spokesman, said some very rude things on Twitter about Callista and Newt Gingrich. Things like:
Newt compliments all the wives proving he can't pick just one 1st lady.
And:
what's higher? The number of jobs newt's created or the number of wives he's had?
And:
do you think callista's hair snaps on?
But Newt and Callista weren't his only targets. Grenell also went after Hillary Clinton, Rachel Maddow and Rick Santorum. His beef with Santorum?
im rick santorum and gay people should be deported
Well, you can't be saying stuff like that. So now he says he's sorry.
my tweets were written to be tongue-in-cheek and humorous but I can now see how they can also be hurtful. I didn't mean them that way and will remove them from twitter. I apologize for any hurt they caused.
Given his boss, it's pretty fitting that within his first few hours on the job, he had to whip out the old Etch-A-Sketch.
