Yesterday, the GOP audience who booed the gay soldier won a resounding endorsement for the semifinals. The bracket is here. Today, we have a familiar political sight'Romney facing off against Romney.
1. MITT ROMNEY WIELDS AN ETCH-A-SKETCH
John Fugelsang: Good morning, sir. It's fair to say that John McCain was considerably a more moderate candidate than the ones that Governor Romney faces now. Is there a concern that the pressure from Santorum and Gingrich might force the governor to attach so far to the right it would hurt him with moderate voters in the general election?Original write up here.Eric Fehrnstrom: Well, I think you hit a reset button for the fall campaign. Everything changes. It's almost like an Etch a Sketch. You can kind of shake it up and we start all over again.
For a supremely dishonest campaign, this level of candor was refreshing.
2. MITT ROMNEY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT POOR PEOPLE
I'm in this race because I care about Americans. I'm not concerned about the very poor. We have a safety net there. If it needs repair, I'll fix it.Original write up here.
What's worse, his admission that he doesn't give a shit about people who couldn't get into his country club, or pretending that he'd spend even a nanosecond trying to "fix" a safety net system he and his party are hell-bent on destroying?
