Republicans think Nevada is Utah

Shelley Berkeley (center) I get it. The two states are right next to each other. Each of them has deserts. But one is crimson Red, and the other is not.

NRSC WILL HIT BERKLEY FOR CAMPAIGNING WITH OBAMA: The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that this is the first time Shelley Berkley has campaigned with the president this year (http://bit.ly/...). Today the NRSC will attack her as a rubberstamp for his agenda in Congress and accuse her of "desperately trying to revive her campaign" in the wake of an ethics investigation.

Umm. Obama leads by three points in Nevada, according to the TPM polling composite, 48-45. And Nevada is the opposite of Missouri'a Blue state getting bluer. The president is going to win it.

Also in the composite, Republican Sen. Dean Heller gets 45 percent, the exact same as Romney. However, Democratic challenger Shelley Berkley lags at 43.8 percent.

So if Republicans want to argue that every Obama supporter in Nevada should back her because she'll be a reliable Obama ally in the Senate ... how is that supposed to hurt her?
