That's what he said when asked about the fact that his campaign thus far has been somewhat lacking in substance. (At least he didn't change the subject to local sports.) Later, his spokesman was forced to clarify: 'Senator Brown was speaking generally about private meetings he has had with foreign and domestic leaders.' Ah, so all his meetings with royalty aren't actually "secret," they're just "private."
I guess you have to be royalty to get a meeting with Brown. When a bunch of students tried to meet with him to talk about his vote against summer jobs programs, they couldn't even get into the public building Brown's office is in.
He's also apparently so busy meeting with kings and queens and prime ministers that he just doesn't have any time for constituents, even for town hall meetings.
Either Scott Brown is secretly critical to world affairs (particularly since he's not even on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee) or he has a serious problem with delusions of grandeur.
9:59 AM PT: Yet another clarification from Brown's spokesman.
'He misspoke when he said kings and queens.'So he just imagined he was meeting with royalty? That doesn't really make this better for Brown.
