Daily Kos Elections Polling Wrap: Early (and small) tea leaves hint at post-SC Obama bump

On this last Friday in June, to call the offerings in the polling universe "sparse" would be one whale of an understatement. We have our two national tracking polls, two other new national polls, a state poll from a state that no one sees as competitive (and the poll confirms, it is not) and one House primary poll.

And...well...that's it.

But that does not mean that we lack for a newsworthy topic of discussion. And the (very) early indicators are that the Supreme Court ruling yesterday is not the boon to conservatives that some wishful thinkers on the right suspected it would be.

On to the numbers:

PRESIDENTIAL GENERAL ELECTION TRIAL HEATS:

NATIONAL (Democracy Corps): Obama d. Romney (49-46)

NATIONAL (Doug Schoen for Newsweek/The Daily Beast): Obama d. Romney (47-44)

NATIONAL (Gallup Tracking): Obama d. Romney (48-43)

NATIONAL (Rasmussen Tracking): Obama d. Romney (45-44)

ALABAMA (Capitol Research Survey Center): Romney d. Obama (51-36)

DOWNBALLOT POLLING:
CT-05'D (PPP for the PCCC): Chris Donovan 45, Elizabeth Esty 25, Dan Roberti 12

(2014) MA-GOV (PPP): Martha Coakley (D) 47, Charlie Baker (R) 34; Steve Grossman (D) 36, Baker 34; Baker 37, Tim Murray (D) 36

A few thoughts, as always, await you just past the jump...
