Strip club owners agree: Republicans are great for business

Signage at a strip club It's not a strip club.
It's a Republican business opportunity.
(Rick Hall/Wikimedia Commons) Another day, another story about those conservative Bible-thumping, God-fearing paragons of virtue and family values'and how they just love to spend money on naked chicks who are not their wives.

Via Cory Doctorow at Boing Boing, strip club owners in Tampa, Florida can't wait for the Republican National Convention:

'Hands down, the Republicans have always been our best customers,' says Angelina Spencer, the Executive Director of the Association of Club Executives. It is the national trade organization for adult nightclubs.

'And they tend to be business-focused,' she says. 'That's really all I can say. We get clients from all walks of life, but for whatever reason' I have heard club owners say, 'Boy, those Republicans really are great customers.''

"Business-focused"? Is that what they're calling it these days? Is that the preferred term among Republicans who go trolling for sex outside the sanctity of their blessed heterosexual traditional marriages? Larry "Wide Stance" Craig wasn't toe-tapping in a bathroom for the heck of it. He was business-focused. That meeting the RNC held at a lesbian-themed bondage club? It was a business meeting. As was the Romney campaign's little venture at an Arizona night club that features a "specialty champagne bar in the co-ed bathroom" and offers "models/dancers/showgirls" to VIP guests.

Maybe Republicans really are job creators after all.
