Guy who nominated Sarah Palin says 'our team saw nothing' in Mitt Romney's tax returns

Well, folks, I think this settles it, especially considering the source:

Breaking: @SenJohnMcCain tells @piersmorgan "our team saw nothing" in Romney tax returns. Blasts Obama for  "Chicago style" campaign.
' @jonathanwald via web No need to disclose a damn thing. They've given you people all you need to know.

Except for the part about having not yet released any tax returns before 2010. And for the part about the 2010 return being incomplete, thanks to a missing document about Romney's Swiss bank account. Oh, and we still haven't seen 2011's returns.

McCain's interview will air tonight at 9 PM ET on CNN. And you can mark that on your calendars as the moment that the controversy about Mitt Romney's tax returns will die. Because nobody in their right mind would doubt the judgment of the guy who picked Sarah Palin over Mitt Romney "because we thought that Sarah Palin was the better candidate."

Right?
