Voting in Darcy Burner's primary starts today

Darcy Burner at Netroots Nation, 2012 Darcy Burner at Netroots Nation, 2011 The ballots in Darcy Burner's primary election for Washington state's 1st congressional district race will be counted on primary day, August 7, but the voting starts today, with ballots in the state's all-mail election hitting mailboxes now.

Goal ThermometerDarcy is leading a crowded field of Democrats for the right to take on a tea party extremist. But a couple of her opponents have very healthy personal bank accounts, and moms with Super PACs. Darcy's got the grassroots support, but polling is tightening up. Her closest opponent, Suzan DelBene, has invested a personal fortune in this race, with a flood of television ads and mailers.

Darcy needs to be able to fight that, and her campaign has to start reaching voters as they fill out their ballots at home.

In this district, $3 of online advertising can reach as many 25 Democratic-leaning primary voters. Darcy needs at least 25,000 votes to advance to the November general election. As little as $3,000 to put her over the top. You can help.

Please, click here to give $3 to Darcy Burner.
