Romney adviser admits Mitt used NAACP speech as a photo op

Mitt Romney speaks the NAACP on July 11, 2012 Still image of Mitt Romney addressing NAACP earlier today A Romney adviser admits what was already obvious to all: that Mitt used the NAACP as a political prop:
Another campaign adviser told BuzzFeed that Romney's attendance at the convention wasn't primarily intended to break off a portion of the black vote, but to make clear to moderates that he intends to be an inclusive president.

"I think it's important to send a message that he's going to be president of the entire United States," said the adviser.

And what better way to prove that he plans to be inclusive ... than treating the NAACP as stockphoto.com.

11:26 AM PT: p.s.: I believe that if Mitt Romney understood what I truly believe in my heart, and if it were possible to fully communicate why I believe reelecting the president is in the real, enduring best interest of all American families, he would vote for Barack Obama for president.

11:27 AM PT: p.p.s.: If you think that last update sounded weird, you're right. And it sounded just as weird when Romney said almost the exact same thing during his speech today.
