Chris Christie drops the teabag on Mitt Romney

U.S. President Barack Obama speaks with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie in Essex, New Jersey after touring damage caused by flooding in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene September 4, 2011. Obama pledged on Sunday to do everything possible to help flood-stricken New Jersey and other states recover as he got a first-hand look at some of the damage from Hurricane Irene.   .REUTERS/Kevin Lamarque  (UNITED STATES - Tags: ENVIRONMENT DISASTER POLITICS) (Kevin Lamarque/Reuters) Chris Christie tries to sound all reasonable and stuff, taking President Obama's side of the infrastructure debate:
If President and Congress want to spend money to create jobs, then spend it on infrastructure.

Oh. So he was lying, playing the role of an anti-government, anti-stimulus crusader to curry favor with the far right ... maybe hoping that he could land himself a sweet gig, like being Mitt Romney's runninghelicoptering mate. But now that he's flip-flopping back to President Obama's position, maybe that dream has vanished? If so, it sure would explain why he spent the day saying that you can't win the presidency if you're an aloof, programmed, robotic candidate. You know, if you're like Mitt Romney.
