(click for larger version) Below the fold is a list of key House, Senate, and gubernatorial races taking place on Nov. 6, 2012, arranged by poll closing times. States with multiple closing times are listed in order of their earliest closing, with the exception of Oregon (where most of the state is in the Pacific time zone). All times are Eastern, not local. Incumbents' names are noted in parentheses. Blue and red seats are held by Democrats and Republicans respectively. Purple seats feature matchups between a Democratic incumbent and a Republican incumbent. Green seats are new seats created by decennial reapportionment pursuant to the census and are controlled by neither party, except for CT-Sen, which is green to denote it is currently held by an independent.
