Daily Kos-SEIU polling banner

Public Policy Polling for Daily Kos & SEIU. 11/1-4. Likely voters. MoE ±2.7% (10/25-28 results)

The candidates for President are Democrat Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney. If the election was today, who would you vote for?

Obama 50 (49)
Romney 48 (49)

Three weeks ago, Mitt Romney led 50-46 on the strength of a 52-38 advantage with independents. Romney now leads them just 48-45, while President Barack Obama has better consolidated his base: Obama leads Dems 89-10, while Romney leads Republicans 87-12.

Three weeks ago, Latinos chose Obama 62-36. This week, it's 71-29. Zero undecided. Obama has also solidified his support among Union households, going from 56-42 three weeks ago to 62-35 today. Finally, Obama's 53-41 lead among moderates three weeks ago is now 63-34.

Of course, there's no national race. There should be, but there isn't. But this poll, along with the aggregate, shows a clear trend toward Team Blue:
