Scott Brown on his voting record: 'Blah, blah, blah'

Look! Truck! Shiny! Well, this is a mature and substantive response from Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) when asked about actual, you know, stuff about his voting record and tenure in the Senate.

Brown cuts in on a reporter quoting Warren's criticisms of him, interjecting, "Blah, blah, blah, blah."

Those criticisms are of Brown's coziness with big oil and Wall Street. Warren asserts (in the full, subscription-only article) that "Scott Brown voted to preserve billions of dollars in oil subsidies, and then scooped up more money from the oil industry. [...] He works to protect Wall Street, and then scoops up money from Wall Street."

Here's how Brown responded beyond "blah, blah, blah."

"I'm Scott Brown, live in Wrentham, drive a truck with 235,000 miles on it, and you think I'm in bed with big oil and Wall Street?"

When all else fails, there's the truck. Of course, Brown doesn't believe in oil subsidies, so maybe he's just a little confused on the whole concept. Nonetheless, let's go to the record where we find multiple votes in 2011 and again this year to protect big oil subsidies and loopholes. And his multiple votes to protect millionaires and billionaires. And his hostage taking on behalf of Wall Street to water down the Dodd-Frank financial reform bill.

But a picture is worth $4.4 million when you look at Brown's campaign contributions for the 2012 cycle (or $4.7 million, if you toss in the $250,000 in campaign contributions from big oil).

Brown's eventually going to have to come up with more than saying "blah, blah, blah" and changing the subject to defend his actual record.
