10:44 AM PT: President Obama is said to be "moments away" according to MSNBC.
10:52 AM PT: Now MSNBC is saying 2 PM ET. I'll believe it when I see it.
10:53 AM PT: I've seen 2 Obama ads on MSNBC in the last hour. Rather, I've seen this ad twice.
10:56 AM PT: Here's a live feed from MSNBC:
11:04 AM PT: MSNBC says Arizona Governor Jen Brewer is calling this an "amnesty" plan. Apparently she reads Drudge. But this isn't amnesty. This is for people who were brought to America when they were children'before they became adults.
11:10 AM PT: President Obama just took the podium.
11:11 AM PT: Obama on who this decision is for: "These dreamers ... pledge allegiance to our flag. They are Americans in their hearts and minds and in every single way but one: on paper."
11:11 AM PT: "I've said time and time and time again to Congress: Send me the DREAM Act, put it on my desk, and I will sign it right away."
11:12 AM PT: "It makes no sense to expel talented young people who for all intents and purpsoes are Americans [...] to expel these Americans ... simply because of the actions of their parents or the inaction of Congress."
11:13 AM PT: The obvious subtext here is that this isn't just about immigration policy: it's about Republicans in Congress obstructing progress.
11:13 AM PT: "Effective immediately, DHS is taking steps to lift the shadow of deportation from these young people."
11:14 AM PT: "This is not amnesty, this not immunity. This is not a path to citizenship. It's not a permanent fix. It's a temporary stop gap measure."
11:15 AM PT: Some yokel tried to interrupt President Obama's speech, but the interruption was brief.
11:16 AM PT: "There's no reason we can't come together and get this [a permanent immigration reform decision] done."
11:18 AM PT: "We are a better nation than one that expels young people." Obama, turning to the man who interrupted him, says the reason he made this decision is that it is "the right thing to do." And it's good for the country to keep young, patriotic, ambitious, law-abiding people here in this country. "We have always drawn strength from being a nation of immigrants as well as a nation of laws."
11:20 AM PT: NBC's Mike Viqueira says the man who tried to interrupt the president was not a member of the regular White House press corps and didn't have his idnetification handy.
11:22 AM PT: First time I have ever seen a President interrupted during a statement in the Rose Garden— @stevebruskCNN via web
11:23 AM PT: Apparently it was a Daily Caller hack.
Heckler identified himself as Neil Monroe (sp?) with the Daily Caller. Says he's an immigrant himself. Then walked off.— @brianbeutler via Echofon The spelling is Neil Munro.
11:25 AM PT: Maybe he's Mitt Romney's bus driver. Or bubble blower.
