Although President Barack Obama is heavily favored to win Michigan'and David Axelrod is confident enough of victory to stake his mustache on it'his campaign isn't letting a Romney Super PAC ad buy in the state go unanswered. "Remember what Mitt Romney said ... and what President Obama
did, for Michigan" the Obama campaign's first ad in the state says, interspersed with footage of Romney saying "that's exactly what I said. The headline you read, which said 'let Detroit go bankrupt.'" The ad is airing in Grand Rapids and the Detroit area.
Meanwhile, Chrysler is not only pushing back against Mitt Romney's claims that it's moving jobs to China by pointing out that it is in fact adding jobs in the U.S., but reported its best October sales in five years, with 31 consecutive months of year-over-year sales gains. With the facts of the auto industry so much in Obama's favor, and to his credit, no wonder Romney is flailing wildly.
