'Where is the outrage from Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and the NAACP about this?' West said on Fox News' 'Fox and Friends.' 'They're not going to say anything because they're nothing but an effective wing of the Democrat [sic] party and they have effectively kept them well laced so they can continue to make sure that they have a black electorate voting bloc.'
Hmm. Not seeing it, myself. I suppose it's possible that this is symptom of a deep-seated conspiracy against him on the part of Jesse Jackson and all other black Americans, but it's at least equally possible that this is a fairly standard (though effective) campaign ad, and it gives Allen West a sad face only because this one happens to be directed against him.
Allen West is nothing if not creative in his conspiracy theories, however. In the last eight months or so he has compared Democrats to Nazis, claimed that there were 80 members of the Communist Party in Congress, said that preventing student loan interest increases was something out of the Communist Manifesto, and said that Obama wants Americans to be his slaves. So now this is the thing that pisses him off?
West is running against Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy this time around. Please donate $3 to Patrick Murphy on ActBlue.
