Everybody knows Mitt Romney is lying about Jeep moving to China. So what does he do? Tell it louder.

Mitt Romney's new sloga, Everybody knows Mitt Romney is lying about his false claim that Jeep is shipping American jobs to China. Even the traditional media calls it a lie: The Washington Post gives it four Pinocchios and PolitiFact says it's a Pants-on-Fire whopper.

So what does Mitt Romney do?

A Dem source familiar with ad buy info tells me that the Romney campaign has now put a version of the spot on the radio in Toledo, Ohio ' the site of a Jeep plant. The buy is roughly $100,000, the source says.

The move seems to confirm that the Romney campaign is making the Jeep-to-China falsehood central to its final push to turn things around in the state.

So this must be what Mitt Romney and his campaign are thinking: "Sure, we're not telling the truth, but to win this election we need to win Ohio, and if we can get enough people to believe that we're being honest, we might have a shot." The Obama campaign is aggressively pushing back against Romney's lie and so is Ohio media. The question now is whether Ohio voters will reward Romney for placing his bet on the power of deception.

10:46 AM PT: Here's the script for the ad. It's an outrageous deception.
