2012 Democratic convention live, #3

The Democratic National Convention 2012: We're winning Watch live video here and join the conversation as we live blog the 2012 Democratic convention

5:22 PM PT: Dumbest thing I've seen on twitter today:

I'm waiting for one of the parties to start pandering to men.  What exactly would that look like?
— @StuPolitics via TweetDeck Really, putting the stu in stupid.

5:23 PM PT: For example, maybe we could finally have a party that would stand strong against laws banning condom use. Or maybe we could have a party that would fight to allow men to keep on getting cheaper health insurance than women, just because they don't have a uterus.

5:25 PM PT: Or to put it more simply: when you are fighting to make sure women are treated equally as men, and that the government doesn't control women's bodies in a way that it does not control men's, then you are not pandering. You're doing the right thing.

5:27 PM PT: A video about veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Hey, that's a nice reminder: this president ended the Iraq war and is ending the war in Afghanistan.

5:40 PM PT: Apparently Barney Frank was taken off the schedule at the last minute.

5:44 PM PT: So Republicans wanted to know what Democrats did with God. Sister Simone Campbell, one of the Nuns on the Bus, is here to explain.

5:45 PM PT: "Our faith strongly affirms that we are all responsible for each other. I am my sister's keeper. I am my brother's keeper."

5:46 PM PT: Phew!

RT @jbendery: UPDATE: Barney Frank now speaking on Thursday, per Dem official. #DNC2012
— @HuffPostPol via TweetDeck Can't wait.

5:47 PM PT: More Sister Simone: "Paul Ryan says his budget is in keeping with the values of our shared faith. I disagree."

5:50 PM PT: You know why nuns are awesome? Because they actually live to help people. Republicans wouldn't understand that.

5:51 PM PT (Kaili Joy Gray): New thread here.
