New polls show voters don't like Mitt Romney any more than he likes them

Overall, do you have a favorable or unfavorable impression of the way Barack Obama is running his presidential campaign?
Favorable: 53
Unfavorable: 45

Favorable: 36

Those numbers are as great for President Obama as they are devastating for Mitt Romney. A majority see Obama's campaign favorably, while an overwhelming majority rejects the way Mitt Romney is running his campaign and what he's saying behind closed doors. With those kind of numbers, the race is unwinnable for Romney. The only thing that gets him past the one-third mark is hatred of President Obama among Republican-leaning voters, but as three new swing-state polls conducted by Quinnipiac for The New York Times and CBS show, even anti-Obamaism isn't enough for Romney to win.

Florida (8/15-21 results):
Obama: 53 (49)
Romney: 44 (46)

Ohio (8/15-21 results):
Obama: 53 (50)
Romney: 43 (44)

Pennsylvania (7/24-30 results):
Obama: 54 (53)
Romney: 42 (42)

So Obama has expanded his lead by 6 points in Florida, by 4 points in Ohio, and by 1 point in Pennsylvania'where he was already leading by double digits. Obama is also above 50 percent in each poll. Meanwhile, Romney, on the heels of his 47 percent comment being exposed, can't even crack 44 percent.

And for Mitt Romney, the worst piece of news is that in many states, voting has already begun.
