In a major bust in the Philadelphia area where Hezbollah operatives were buying and stealing Playstations and cellphones, they were shipping them to Venezuela and they were getting passports in return. The Fox News anchor does her best to act shocked, but can only muster the most desultory "hmm" you'll ever hear. Perhaps it's time to deploy drones in Philadelphia to, uh, take out terrorists who are, erm, buying video game consoles and mailing them to South America. Because that's the most horrible thing ever.
I mean, if Venezuela really was in league with Hezbollah, why couldn't they just give them fake passports for free? Can this stupid plot be more stupid?
Meanwhile, people who live in reality laugh off this craziness.
"That is exaggerated. Generally, this kind of activity [terrorism] is conducted by small units. It is political rhetoric," said Ely Karmon, one of Israel's top independent counter-terrorism experts [...]Of course, those experts probably didn't know about the Great Playstation Heist, which shines a whole new light on this dastardly alliance south of the border. Lucky for everyone, Fox News is on the case!"The existence of a Lebanese community [in Venezuela] plus a left-wing populist government plus the anti-American rhetoric does not equal terrorism," says Control Risks' Watson. "That is speculation."
