Election Night liveblog #1

3:31 PM PT: What, is it election night already?

Just kidding. It's about fucking time. So hey, those of you who want to play the "benchmark counties" game, this is pretty freakin' awesome.

3:34 PM PT: Those of you worrying about voter fraud, just stop it. Please. Dems are voting in massive numbers, glitches are happening here and there, but Democrats have done a good job in squashing most (though certainly not all) efforts in the courts.

More Republicans are voting as well, so let's not kid ourselves that any excitement is just on our side. But if we match 2008 turnout models, we win. And so far, not only are we matching, but we're exceeding it in many key places. We're fine. Even if the GOP had the ability to steal this election, it won't be close enough to do so.

3:35 PM PT: With 43,000 ballots counted, the Libertarian candidate is on top of 5% in #INSen. If that holds, it has to help Donnelly.
— @Taniel via web 3:42 PM PT: Alex Castellanos looked defeated on CNN just now when talking about the exit polls. Said they must be wrong. Ouch.
— @NoWeCantPolitic via web They've been wrong before, so no premature celebration. Except that there really isn't much drama about the toplines.

3:44 PM PT: Daily Kos radio will be broadcasting all night -- join Armando, Kagro, Greg Dworkin and a rotating cast of guests as they cover the election results. Click on link for details.

3:44 PM PT: CNN reporting that ROMNEY'S last internal tracking poll from Ohio had them losing.

3:46 PM PT: Those Romney internals had Obama up five in Ohio. Same as all the public polling. Now I'm wondering if my O+5 Ohio prediction was too pessimistic.

3:49 PM PT (Barbara Morrill): New thread here.
