I won't be on the air today. As a procedure fan, I can't pass up the opportunity to head to the state capitol building in Richmond, VA, to watch the convention and voting of Virginia's electoral college delegation. Thanks to Daily Kos community member and Virginia presidential elector Paradox13, I've got a ticket!

But we do have some important programming lined up for the morning. By now we're all aware of the events of last Friday in Newtown, CT. But what you may have missed, if you didn't happen to catch his post over the weekend, is that our own Greg Dworkin is a resident of Newtown.

Armando has graciously agreed to step in and start up the radio machine at 9:00 this morning, in my place. And he and Greg will take up the discussion of Friday's events for an hour. I hope you'll join in and listen.
