Election Diary Rescue 9/6/12

This edition of Election Diary Rescue includes the following gems dug up by our miners, for a total of (28) diaries:

Senate: (9)
House: (11)
State: (3)
Ballot Initiatives: (2)
General: (3)

Today's EDR covers rescued election diaries published between noon on September 5th till noon on September 6th. Here's a sampling:

[MA-Sen] Elizabeth Warren and Reefer Madness by cordgrass - Diarist documents the difficulties Warren (D) will have in her race against Scott Brown (R), needing both aging hippies and the youth vote. Suggests the medical marijuana ballot initiative could get the usually reticent young to the voting booth this year.

[WI-06] Tom Petri (R-Wi-06) One of the Richest Congressmen Paid NO Taxes in Wisconsin by Puddytat - Republican U. S. Rep. Tom Petri did not pay any state income taxes from 2002 through 2005...Petri is in a relatively safe district and has had to do little, if any, campaigning in the past facing poorly financed candidates. ActBlue link included for Democrat Joe Kallas, a retired teacher who is running against Petri.

[CA-Prop 33] Mercury Insurance Gave $25K to Greenlining Institute for Flip-Flop Prop 33 Endorsement by Consumer Watchdog - California's Proposition 33, which penalizes certain categories of motorist, comes under the microscope.
