Mitt's biggest fan leaves the podium

Yet another look at Mitt Romney leaving the podium after delivering his self-destructive attack accusing the president of siding with the people who attacked and killed our embassy officials in Libya, this one from AP's Charles Dharapak:

Republican presidential candidate and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney leaves the podium after he makes comments on the killing of U.S. embassy officials in Benghazi, Libya, while speaking in Jacksonville, Fla.,  Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012. (AP Photo/Charles Dharapak) It's not just Democrats: Republicans are condemning Romney's antics too I don't know what's worse: the fact that he thought it was appropriate to evoke such smug self-satisfaction after that press conference ... or the fact that he's so clueless he didn't realize what a huge hole he had just dug for himself. Either way, Mitt Romney's plan backfired, and massively. He wanted to use a national tragedy to undermine the president's reelection campaign. Instead, he revealed to America a lack of judgment and a tendency towards rash behavior that should disqualify him as a serious presidential contender. It was truly an epic disaster.

What has Romney just done here? Remarked on the murder of US diplomats? Or fired a factory full of workers? http://t.co/...

9:21 AM PT: Romney is just getting hammered all around:

Romney appears to have launched a political attack even before facts of embassy violence were known. Then uses day to issue vague FP vision
