No apology from Scott Brown, but he does scold 'both sides' to behave

The principal chief of the Cherokee Nation demanded an apology from Sen. Scott Brown and his staff for their racist display at a recent campaign rally, in the above recording. This, apparently, is Brown's apology.
'Senator Brown has spoken to his entire staff'including the individuals involved in this unacceptable behavior ' and issued them their one and only warning that this type of conduct will not be tolerated,' Brown spokeswoman Alleigh Marre said in a statement. 'As we enter the final stretch of this campaign, emotions are running high, and while Senator Brown can't control everyone, he is encouraging both sides to act with respect. He regrets that members of his staff did not live up to the high standards that the people of Massachusetts expect and deserve.' [emphasis added]

Goal Thermometer

Because when your staff engages in blatantly racist behavior, it's always appropriate to encourage "both sides" to not be racist assholes.

So far Brown's only public statement on the incident stands: The one where he blames Elizabeth Warren for being part Indian and making his staff be racist assholes.
