Congress' most inept crook tries to hide evidence ... with Wite-Out

Rep. David Rivera (R-FL) Rep. David Rivera (R-Crookistan)
Speaker Pelosi project bug As you might now, Rep. David Rivera decided that he didn't have enough FBI agents on his tracks, and decided to add to his pile of wrong-doings by illegally trying to influence the Democratic primary in FL-26. You see, one of those candidates was O2B endorsee Joe Garcia who gave him a serious run in the 2010 wave year. With a more Democratic district and better political climate, Garcia was a serious threat to his seat.

So he took a bunch of envelopes, stuffed tens of thousands of dollars into them, and paid for campaign services for a fake Democratic primary candidate. You can't do that! Now his efforts to cover up his crime have been hilariously inept, while his partner-in-crime has fled the authorities and remains in hiding.

Goal ThermometerBut no matter how inept you think Rivera is, the reality is he's much, much worse.

Also in the hands of FBI agents: at least six invoices initially made out to the attention of David Rivera ' all marked paid 'cash' ' to cover the mailings for Democratic primary challenger Justin Lamar Sternad, a suspected Rivera straw-man candidate. The congressman demanded that his name be removed from the invoices with Wite-Out, documents and interviews show.
Well that'll cover his tracks just fine! Just like the time when he planted evidence ... in plain sight on TV.
Rivera strenuously denied the allegation Wednesday night in a televised interview on America TeVĂ©'s (Ch. 41) A Mano Limpia, insisting that he has no connection to the [fake Democrat Justin Lamar] Sternad campaign, claiming Borrero lied and that the Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald produced "nonsense and slander" in league with Garcia's campaign [...]

Rivera ' who denies ever knowing Sternad ' also produced a copy of a new campaign report for Sternad that purported to show, for the first time, that the Democrat's campaign had paid Rapid Mail.

Rivera didn't explain how he got the report, and Federal Elections Commission officials told the Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald on Wednesday that the document had not been received yet by the FEC.

Shit, did Rivera flunk Criminality 101? Sheesh. You plant the evidence where investigators will find it, you don't hand it over yourself! And if you need to hide your involvement in funding the criminal scheme, ask for a new invoice! Believe it or not, Wite-Out isn't a fool-proof way to cover your tracks.

Donate $3 to Joe Garcia and the rest of the great Democrats on our list so that Nancy Pelosi can get her gavel back. Seriously, the House is within reach. Help out now!
