Chris Christie left his hot butt poker at home

Mississippi Republican Governor Haley Barbour addresses the Conservative Political Action conference (CPAC) in Washington, February 12, 2011.  REUTERS/Jonathan Ernst    (UNITED STATES - Tags: POLITICS HEADSHOT) TMI, Haley. Huh?
[Former Mississippi Gov. Haley] Barbour offered a brief assessment of the Republican National Convention. 'While I would love for [Chris] Christie to put a hot poker to Obama's butt,' said Barbour of the RNC keynote speaker, 'I thought he did what he was supposed to do.'
Aside from the fact that Barbour wanted to see Christie legitimately rape the president, what exactly was it that the New Jersey governor was supposed to do? Pre-announce his presidential bid for 2016? Because he did that! Undermine Ann Romney's message of "love"? Because he did that! Ignore Mitt Romney until the very end? Check!

However, none of those things seem to be designed to help the GOP win in 2012. So if that's what he was supposed do, then I guess the whole Republican Party is just phoning it in and looking ahead to 2016.
