Meteor-filibuster trivia

Video of 10-ton meteor streaking across Siberian sky Here's a trivia question for you: What's the difference between yesterday's Republican filibuster of Chuck Hagel's nomination to be secretary of defense and what happened this morning when the Siberian sky lit up with debris from a 10-ton meteor crashing into the Earth's atmosphere, causing a loud boom that damaged buildings, leading to hundreds of injuries from broken glass?

The answer: This wasn't the first time we've been hit by objects from space, but until yesterday, there had never been a filibuster of a nominee for secretary of defense.

p.s.: At least for the moment, Meteor Blades is denying any responsibility whatsoever for the Siberian meteor strike. Actually, for that matter, he's also denying any responsibility for the clownish actions of Senate Republicans.
