Gabby Giffords in new ad: 'Congress must act' on gun laws

Former Rep. Gabby Giffords is expanding her campaign for improved gun laws with this ad, backed by a six-figure buy. Over images of Aurora, Tucson, Oak Creek, and Newtown, and text noting that "9 out of 10 Americans support universal background checks," Giffords says:

We have a problem'where we shop, where we pray, where our children go to school. But there are solutions we can agree on, even gun owners like us. Take it from me: Congress must act. Let's get this done.

The ad targets congressional leaders, airing in Washington, D.C., as well as San Francisco, Cincinnati, Louisville, and Las Vegas, cities represented by Nancy Pelosi, John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, and Harry Reid
