Obviously an attempt at "whatever," the real word Brown did manage to tweet a couple times that night, right? And what's the most likely reason for a night of really inane tweet-fighting punctuated by "Bqhatevwr"? Most of us would think it was a few drinks too many. Brown says no.
"First of all, I rarely drink. The last time I was ever drunk was at my bachelor party and that was what?'28 years ago, 27 years ago," Brown said.If you say so, Scott. So if it wasn't a drunk tweet, what was it? It wasn't just a random typo, since 1) "Bqhatevwr" and 2) Brown didn't delete it immediately or send out an "oops" follow-up as would generally happen when someone's fingers slip. He has an explanation, though:
"Anyone ever hear of pocket tweet, pocket dial? I mean it was pretty simple. I have an iPhone 5. If anyone has iPhone 5, the keys are small," Brown said. "It's very, very sensitive."Wow. Quite a coincidence that the phone pocket tweeted a garbled version of the very word Brown had been repeatedly tweeting. Usually a pocket tweet is just gibberish, not recognizable at all or related to anything else you've been tweeting, after all. But who are we to question former Sen. Scott Brown? It's not like he's ever been caught saying anything questionable. Never. No, really, never. This is not a man who ever exaggerates. And certainly not about alcohol.
