How nuts? Here's Rep. Lou Barletta (R-PA) to demonstrate:
'It's amnesty that America can't afford,' Barletta said Monday. 'We have to stop people from coming in illegally. This will be a green light for anyone who wants to come to America illegally and then be granted citizenship one day.' [...]It's amazing, and yet utterly predictable, that Republicans are incapable of talking about immigration reform without immediately turning it into a conversation about uneducated, unskilled Latinos who will just become handout-demanding 47 percenters, because even though, you know, this is America, and people immigrate here from all over the globe with varying levels of education and skills, we're talking about the Republican Party. The party that makes up stories about scary brown people beheading innocent Americans in the desert. The party that says "you people" are too dumb to understand why Republicans are better for you. The party that recently held its "How to talk to chicks and browns more nice-like" panel in the plantation room of a former slave plantation.'I hope politics is not at the root of why we're rushing to pass a bill. Anyone who believes that they're going to win over the Latino vote is grossly mistaken,' Barletta said. 'The majority that are here illegally are low-skilled or may not even have a high school diploma. The Republican Party is not going to compete over who can give more social programs out. They will become Democrats because of the social programs they'll depend on.'
Gosh, sure is hard to imagine why Sen. Lindsey Graham warned last year that the his party isn't "generating enough angry white guys to stay in business for the long term," isn't it?
