Elizabeth Warren: Barney Frank would be 'extraordinary' interim senator

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) takes the oath of office again in front of supporters in Boston. With her are her husband, Prof. Bruce Mann, Senator John Kerry, and Justice Elena Kagan administering the oath. Seated are former Congressman Barney Frank and Co Barney Frank looks on as Elizabeth Warren retakes her oath of office in Massachusetts. Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren is offering support for Barney Frank as the six-month appointment to replace John Kerry between his (likely) confirmation as secretary of state and a special election:
During her mock swearing-in ceremony on Saturday, Warren praised the man she referred to as "my tutor, my guide," according to the Boston Herald.

'There is no one in or out of Washington who has worked harder on financial issues than Barney,' she said. 'During the great financial crisis of our lifetime, Barney provided unparalleled insight and extraordinary leadership, resulting in landmark legislation.'

She later told reporters that "if he is appointed to be a senator, I have no doubt that he will be extraordinary."

Those comments stop short of directly asking Gov. Deval Patrick to appoint Frank, but make it pretty clear that Warren would like to work with a Sen. Frank.

And what a dream team that would be for Massachusetts!
