Patty Murray has an invitation for you. Now this is a survey to freep. The new Senate Budget Committee chair Patty Murray says, 'I want to bring the voices of the American people into a budget process and conversation that is too often limited to bureaucrats and politicians.' To that end, the committee has launched MyBudget, "an online platform for members of the public to weigh in as our nation works to tackle our budget and economic challenges."

So please, use the forms below to tell us what you think. Share your stories about how federal budget decisions have impacted your family, your community, and your job. Let us know what issues we should be focused on. And pass along your ideas for how we can tackle our budget challenges responsibly.

There's no guarantee that Murray and her colleagues will prioritize your ideas over Simpson-Bowles, Fix the Debt, and the rest of the corporate-subsidized austerity industry, but if we don't response, we know who will be heard the loudest.

Go forth and budget on behalf of the middle class; for jobs, affordable health care and education, a stronger safety net, the preservation of Social Security and Medicare, a sane defense budget and an equitable tax system.
