Mark Sanford back on the campaign trail, already apologizing for things

Mark Sanford It's good to have former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford running for something again. What did we ever do without this guy?
Sanford called himself a 'wounded warrior' on Wednesday while describing his decision to run.

'It's hard,' Sanford said in an interview with the Charleston, S.C., station WCBD-TV. 'I'm scared to death in human terms. I mean, as I say, I'm a wounded warrior. I'm going to step out as best I can and try and advance ideas that I've long believed in. But it's not without fear and trepidation because you know you're going to get hit, and you're going to get hit hard.'

"Wounded warrior" used to be a term used for, well, wounded warriors, but if getting caught after flying off to see your South American girlfriend (while married, and after your staff has floundered about for days trying to figure out where you were, finally hypothesizing to the press that you were off "hiking the Appalachian Trail," but it turned out that it was Naked Hiking Day on the Appalachian Trail so as it turns out they probably all wish they would have just said "yeah, he's off committing some good ol' fashioned international adultery" in the first place)'well, if that isn't being wounded in the line of duty, I don't know what would be, right?

Anyway, he had to apologize because some folks were a little miffed:

I meant no disrespect to our heroic men and women in uniform. I used the wrong analogy trying to make a broader point.
' @MarkSanford via TweetDeck Welcome back, Mark Sanford. I see you're a bit rusty at this.
